The Firm

Tradition of Excellence. Our firm was founded by some of the top trial lawyers in the Pacific Northwest.  Spencer Hall has regularly been honored by his peers as one of the top lawyers in the state.  Our firm handles commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters exclusively.  Clients who seek our services are those who look beyond large firms in favor of exceptional individual lawyers with real trial experience.  Our clients include major corporations, small business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, employees and consumers.

Referrals.  The firm’s best cases have come from referrals, either from past clients or from other attorneys.  We are often called when other attorneys need legal help for themselves or trial counsel for their clients.  On more than one occasion, the firm has been asked to step in at the last minute as lead trial counsel when a case fails to settle.  We are often asked by clients to become involved when litigation is anticipated but has not yet begun.  We offer advice and counsel to clients to maximize their chance of success in litigation – and we assist clients who wish to avoid litigation through negotiation, mediation or other alternative dispute resolution procedure.

Fee Arrangement.  We offer a variety of fee arrangements, including contingency fees, to meet our clients’ needs.  The firm does not charge any fee for the initial meeting with a prospective new client.

Practice Areas. In recent years, the firm has won multi-million dollar verdicts and awards in cases involving technology and business fraud, real estate and partnership disputes, and wrongful termination of employment.  We do not limit ourselves to particular areas of practice or to the particular sides of a dispute.  We take cases that we believe in, whether those cases involve representing the party suing or being sued.  We have handled cases involving investment fraud; contract disputes; wrongful termination or discrimination in employment; insurance disputes involving subrogation issues or claims of bad faith; patent infringement and other intellectual property challenges; consumer protection claims; allegations of professional negligence or unethical conduct; construction disputes; securities litigation; and unfair business practices.
